In this webinar, learn about the role of Occupational Therapy for women and girls who have Turner Syndrome, focusing specifically on vision. Participants will learn about various aspects of vision and how they can impact safety and daily functioning. Additionally, learn and a few strategies to address visual deficits.
Megan Edwards Collins is an Occupational Therapist, currently an Associate Professor in the Occupational Therapy Department at Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) in North Carolina. She has been teaching in the Occupational Therapy Department at WSSU since January 2011. Diagnosed with Turner Syndrome when she was in high school, Megan has experienced personally and professionally the impact vision has on safe and effective completion of daily activities. This ranges from dressing and bathing to more complex activities like driving and work or school tasks. Megan will be discussing the various aspects of vision and how they can impact safety and daily function. This will include a few basic ideas on how to address visual deficits.
Register today for this webinar. You will need a computer with internet service and/or telephone to participate in this learning activity. Activity instructions will be emailed to registrants on a first come first serve basis.
